Saqib Mahmood returns to 13-man squad to face Notts

Saqib Mahmood returns to 13-man squad to face Notts

Head Coach Dale Benkenstein has named a 13-man squad for this week’s Vitality County Championship fixture against Nottinghamshire, which starts tomorrow at Trent Bridge.

Saqib Mahmood returns to the matchday squad after almost 12 months out with a lumbar stress fracture. The 27-year-old stepped up his recovery with two appearances for the Second XI during April.

Nathan Lyon will be rested for the trip to Trent Bridge as part of the Club's agreement with Cricket Australia, in order to manage his bowling workloads.

The Red Rose remain without Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt and Luke Wood who are all currently playing in the Indian Premier League.

Lancashire Squad to face Nottinghamshire:

Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Tom Bruce, Tom Hartley, Matthew Hurst, George Lavelle, Saqib Mahmood, Luke Wells, Will Williams
